Australian PGA

Been awhile since the last post but back for some summer action here at the revolution

Fancy kiwi golfer Tim Wilkinson in tomorrows Australian PGA. He currently is at $65's on betfair to win outright, and $5.60 to finish top 10 - he finished equal 14th last year at the same course

He plies his trade on the US tour but had an injury interrupted season this year but finished equal 12th last week in the Open after shooting a disappointing 74 in the final round

He also had a reasonable finish in the Australian Masters a few weeks back

But get on early as he tee's off at 7:00am on the Thursday - in hopefully perfect conditions

Golf - The Open Championship Early Thoughts

Fancy taking on some of the English players in the open, so Casey, Donald, Westwood, Poulter (twat!) won't win but I do think Oliver Wilson could go well at a big price.

Early punts:

When betfair offer the Swedes as one bet; get on -why back 1 fool when ya can back 10 at once! 8-1 would be a fair price.

Woods if his price goes above $3.50, currently best priced at $3 but sometimes the market drifts the day before tee off.

Oliver Wilson at 125-1 goes about his business nicely. Ogilvy at 40-1 is also worth a bet.

Tim Wilkinson, from New Zealand, is a favourite of the revolution and at $990 we have had a dollar each way

Golf - US Open

A number of top players missing this week at the US Open. Tiger in form though and will be very hard beat but at odds less than $3 there is little chance of making a killing. Instead we will concentrate on the market Winner W/O Tiger which still throws up some pretty good odds. Following on with our theme from Augusta we will back the following six golf, and make a good healthy profit if any salute Geoff Ogilvy $12, Paul Casey $18, Padraig Harrington $44, Camilo Villegas $36, Henrik Stenson $44 and Retief Goosen $36 are all good players and capable of coming 2nd to Tiger this weekend.

Golf - Bryon Nelson Championships

I see that Ian Poulter is favourite to win the Byron Nelson in the States. This is a man who has never won on the US tour and yes he does come second a lot in decent tournaments but he doesn't fall over the line very often. Bigger odds are available on Justin Leonard who plays well in Texas and Vijay Singh who showed some good form last time out and was 4th in putting that week and has won twice at this course in the past 10 years. Whatever, I would want to take Poulter on!

The Masters

Good result last night in the Champions League, and today we move on to the US Masters starting late tonight. Geoff Ogilvy ($21) has been in red hot form (and he is an Australian) so he is a must. The other form player at the moment is Paul Casey ($30) from England so include him as well. Retief Goosen ($29) always performs well at Augusta. I'll throw in Henrik Stenson ($44) too in his 3rd Masters. An outsider is Camilo Villeges ($70) but he has failed to make the cut in 2 attempts here, but he took the world by storm late last year in his "breakout year" - could surprise.

I've left out Tiger ($3.60) as his price is too low, but of course he has every chance
